Dr. Sánchez entered the IP world back in the late 80s as part of the technical team NEARNet and original member of BBN Planet. Dr. Sánchez was part of the architecture team that designed BBN Planet's (now Genuity) first Managed Firewall and VPN Service offering.
Luis was also part of the architecture team for Continental Cablevision's first IP over cable network (now MediaOne part of @home). Luis serves as chair of the IP Security Policy Working Group of the Internet Engineering Task Force (IETF), the group in charge of standardizing protocols for the Internet. Luis is credited with several internet protocols and standards.
Before founding Xapiens International Group Luis was Director of Security and Policy Architecture of Megisto Systems a Germantown, MD based start-up company developing purposed built GGSN technology for 3rd Generation Wireless Systems. Luis holds a Bachelor, Master and PhD in Electrical Engineering.
